It’s raining when I wake up, in a nostalgic warm kind of way. The way that only rain in a tropical rainforest can make you feel. Birds, frogs and drops lull me back to sleep.
I take it easy and make some breakfast and do my goodbyes. I pop over to the ocean to see if it will entice me, but it’s stormy and quite small. I head over to Oribi gorge as per Samantha’s suggestion.
Making a coffee on the rocks at the back of the river I meet Kgmotso. She is a newly ordained sangoma. She speak about her journey and how she used to be a “slay queen” in the third dimension. Now in the fifth dimension things are slightly more lovey, but she’s found her calling. Togozani with two claps - hands on top of eachother and kneeling - is the greeting for healers. We speak about Leo’s and how I am on this journey as I am a strong person.
The run is beautiful. Vegetation compatible to the coastal garden route forests with dense buses forming tunnels through the undergrowth.
I eat a 5 star and half a chicken wrap and run back to the car. It’s a quick operation. I have a little swim at the river and get back on my way.
Heading towards Durban but unsure of where to stay. I know that the piers might have some waves tomorrow when the wind turns.
I ask Jordan for some advice but end up settling at a weird holiday resort that has camping called Bluff Eco Park.
