Fractional CTO

I work with founders who are building their products with AI coding agents. Tools like Claude Code let a small team, or a non-technical founder, ship software remarkably fast. What they don't provide is the foundation underneath: infrastructure, data models, and guardrails that keep that speed from turning into risk once real clients and real data are involved.

That foundation is what I build. I set it up once, properly, and hand it over so the team can keep building agentically without me in the loop.

What I do

Cloud infrastructure as code: environments (production, staging, demo) defined in the repository, so nothing lives in one person's head or a cloud console
Data models and database schemas: the expensive-to-change parts, designed up front so the application layer stays cheap to rewrite
CI/CD for both application and infrastructure: automated tests and reviews on every pull request, and a promotion flow that makes it hard to break production
Agent-ready handover: documentation and coding-agent configuration written so the founder's AI tooling can operate and extend the system safely

Recent work

Energy management platform for large mines. The founder had built a compelling product with an AI coding agent and had clients ready to send data. I scoped the critical risk (getting meter data off mine sites reliably) and designed the platform underneath: time-series and application databases, multi-tenant isolation between competing clients, and CI/CD for application and infrastructure.
Reporting platform for renewable energy projects. A non-technical founder building entirely with Claude Code. I set up the hosting, CI/CD, automated code reviews, testing and Claude Code configuration, then built a working skeleton of the product so the founder could take it from there.
