I go back to work tomorrow. This morning I stand on the cool London street outside Georgie and Sasha’s house and watch the beautiful morning unfold. I’m feeling ready - and quite excited - to go back to work tomorrow and begin a bit more of routine again.
The morning is spent eating leftover roast vegetables with garlic mayo and writing Metta Malawi.
Jordan and I are going on a date night. We walk out the door and stroll through some beautiful parks. I find a soft serve that is unlike there South African cousins; much creamier and way more expensive.
We pop into some thrift stores and I buy a Donna Hay basics cookbook which I’m very excited about.
Jordan had a beigel here last time and we take a bus and a walk to get to Beigel Bake. We get one smoked salmon and cream cheese and another of their famous salted beef. Both are delicious but I think we both voted the smoked salmon higher.
Then long story short we went to the Ottolenghi restaurant and ate a cheesecake and rum fondant that blew our minds and wallet. I will confidently say that it’s made me believe that there is such thing as a good baked cheesecake.
