This post wonโt be in the format of a story, rather a collection of moments and days that have been special. Some significant memories over the last incredible two weeks.
ย
After leaving Jeffreys bay I proceeded to get quite sick, and go rest up in Hogsback. It was some well needed downtime and I found some real peace out there. Camping at Away With The Fairies in the misty mountains was lovely - and I really enjoyed the solitude.
Went to Hogsback - took a bath

I used the beautiful views, slowly healing body and lack of things that I had to do to spend some time reflecting. I finished off Jozi Jordan and really got into the nonsense that was On smoking and five-way stop streets. I fell in the love with the writing process.

Yellow sand
I passed through East London and had a few magical nights camping at Yellow Sands. Itโs a part of the world that I have never been to before, and provided some interesting times. Being back by the ocean was nourishing and I had some really fun surfs at Yellow Sands and Nahoon Reef.

The view by night
After a few days in East London I cruised up to spend a night at Buccaneers in Chintsa. It turned out to be incredibly weird and deserted, but I had a lovely run down the beach. It fired me up to drive over to Mdumbi the next day.
ย
Mdumbi is a magical piece of paradise. I arrived in the best mood possible and then proceeded to break all the laws of emotion when my mood steadily got better over the next week. My time here has been absolutely phenomenal, and Iโve captured some of the beautiful moments in my ๐ travel journal. For the purposes of this blog post, Iโve picked out some of my favourite days for you:
My last and best day at Mdumbi. A truly wonderful adventure.

I feel relaxed, content, enthralled by natural beauty and warm after spending a week with lovely humans. There has been a little thought that keeps popping up trying to convince me to โjust stay another dayโ. Iโve been listening to it for many days now - but the time has come to leave.
ย
Iโve shared this experience with fellow travellers from all over the world. Many of them became dear friends, and nights around the fire felt as comfortable as if we had known each other our whole lives. There were some parties, some great meals made, a wealth of waves, jokes and magical Mdumbi enjoyed by all.
ย
Iโve been to quite a few backpackers in different countries - many of which were incredible. Yet Mdumbi Backpackers has absolutely taken the prize for the best backpackers that Iโve ever stayed at. It has this wonderful solitude in nature, yet immersion in the local community. You can be alone or be thrown into a social whirlwind whenever you choose. Itโs the beautiful common and sun rooms that bring it all together.
